Sexual and Reproductive Health in secondary schools-SRH
The youth need a lot of guidance during their adolescent period especially the most vulnerable ones in rural areas. This is because at such a stage, the face pressure from different angles; from their parents, peers and even within themselves (Read more).
The difference is in the context, as in some societies there is still a belief that when a girl undergoes certain body and emotional changes then she is ready for marriage, a number of many other myths come up which at times hinders these students’ focus on education. (Read more).
To address the above challenges, we tailored a special training on Sexual and Reproductive Health for the youth which reached to over 1000 learners to help them navigate the adloscent-stage challenges that may affect their learning and help boost their self esteem, expose them to information that trigers them to think and attain selfawareness, support them to accept who they are and the changes they undergo as they transit to adulthood, improve on their personal hygiene and sanitation for better sexual and reproductive health, and avail them with more knowledge on STIs, HIV/AIDs transmission, prevention, treatment and care.
