LOVE RELATIONSHIPS, SEXUAL BEHAVIOUR AND HIV/AIDS

Love in brief is a feeling of affection to someone or something. In the contemporary society, love has been expressed in various ways by different people with unpredictable aims.

A number of youth involve themselves in such relationships but at the end of the day, the consequences are always regrettable and pitiable. However, the victims may have fallen I love due to motivation by their cronies, impoverishness of their family, peer group influence, and the existing social media platforms which expose love practices to the youth.

In the year 2020, covid-19 victims overwhelmed and all students from different institutions were sent back home and this ceased education countrywide. Many young girls and boys resorted to sexual relationships and this was due to poor parental guidance since the parents could not deter their children from such conducts, cunning reckless young men who led the girls to seduction through offering them persuasive gifts and money. Perhaps some girls were coarced by the agemates with sordid behaviour such as intimidation, some may have resorted to love because of possession of the characters of curious calibre.

The implications that result from the sexual relationship (Love) are: deterioration in performance, early pregnancies, deaths due to abortion, increased feeling of loathe by one’s relatives, child neglect by the parents, suicide by the victims because of fear to be loughed at, arrest of the culprits, (young boys who engage in sexual acts) among others. In addition to the above stated implications, there is the mart barifying care and that is HIV/AIDS, of which HIV stands for Human Immuno Virus and AIDS for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. HIV/AIDS is spread through linkage of blood of an infected person with that of an uninfected one. It is also spread through having unprotected sex, contact of wounds and rape by men possessing fallacious thoughts among others.

The signs and symptoms of HIV/AIDS are low self-esteem by the victims, committing suicide by the distressed and perplexed victims, isolation of the sick from those who are infected among others.

However, the ways of curbing HIV/AIDS are abstaining from Sex, controlling one’s emotions where they seem to be hyper, avoid merry making events of which ma later result sexual immorality that is likely to lead to the spread of HIV/AIDS in case one of those involved in the act is sick. Institutions  should engage in prosperous skills such as handcraft making so as not to spend most of their time in love issues. The elders are urged to use condoms during sexual intercourse and so on.

Currently, the government of Uganda has founded organisations such as The AIDS Support Organisation (TASO) to aid the victims of HIV/AIDS countrywide with special needs. In addition to that, criminals deserve retribution because of the quagmire that they lead to the young girls. In conclusion, I humbly argue my fellow young girls to stay tranquil on the matters pertaining to love so as to eradicate the implications that may ruin your life and probably promote the betterment of the future. For God and my Country
